Construction Begins on West Tennessee 4-H Center Cabins and STEM Center

This month, construction starts at Lone Oaks Farm in Middleton, Tennessee, on two facets of the upcoming West Tennessee 4-H camp and conference center.

Work will soon begin on four forest cabins. Sited in the woods, the cabins will accommodate sixty-four campers. Each cabin will includes a flex room with a connected outdoor porch, a kitchen, three counselor rooms, a bunk room, and exterior gathering spaces. There will also be two restroom buildings, parking, and trails to the STEM Center. The cabins are projected to be complete for occupancy in May 2022.

Also under construction is Phase 1 of the STEM Center. Features of the center include the following.

  • Kitchen and dining hall, with an exterior dining deck
  • Two classrooms
  • Administrative offices and a conference room
  • Landscaped courtyard
  • Restrooms
  • Parking lot
  • Walking trail to forest cabins
