David Perrin
David Perrin serves as Regional Director for Eastern Region Extension at the University Of Tennessee. In this position, David works as part of the Eastern Region leadership team that oversees the administration and delivery of Agriculture, Natural Resources, Community Economic Development, Family & Consumer Sciences, and 4-H Youth Development programming by UT Extension staff located in the Eastern Region. David provides leadership to the County Directors headquartered in all the thirty-three counties, which create Eastern Region. Prior to serving as Eastern Region Director, David served as Regional Program Leader for Agriculture and Natural Resources and 4-H Youth Development from 2001-2018. Prior to joining the Eastern Region administrative team, David served as an Area Farm Management Specialist conducting the Manage Program. David first began with UT Extension as an Extension Agent with the TVA Resource Management Program. Prior to his appointment with UT Extension, David worked as a production supervisor with Ralston Purina Company from 1980 to 1984. Mr. Perrin holds a BS and MS degrees in Agricultural Mechanization from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. David grew up in Grainger County working on the family farm and helping his grandparents with a cow-calf operation, burley tobacco, strawberries, and tomatoes.
