Overview

Rob Holland has worked in various capacities for UT Extension for the past 31 years. He was appointed Director of the Center for Profitable Agriculture in September 2007.  While serving as Director, he also served as Interim Assistant Dean of UT Extension from 2020 to 2022. He served as the Center’s Financial Feasibility Specialist for 9 years and as an Extension Area Specialist in Farm Management for 5 years covering ten counties in East Tennessee. He currently serves as the Tennessee State Coordinator for the Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education program. Rob holds a B.S. degree in Agricultural Business from the University of Tennessee Martin and a M.S. degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Tennessee Knoxville. He is a graduate of Leadership Maury, LEAD-21 and the Corporate Leadership Development Program at Belmont University. He served on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Council of Cooperatives for 21 years and is a former member of the Spring Hill Rotary Club where he was named a Paul Harris Fellow. Rob is a native of Giles County, Tennessee where he grew up on a small family farm and was a National 4-H winner. Rob and his wife Tina reside in Columbia and enjoy travelling, kayaking and spending time outdoors. Rob and Tina share 4 children and 2 grandchildren and are in the process of renovating and returning to the family farm near Pulaski.
