Agriculture in Marion County is very broad in scope with industry ranging from beef cattle production and wildlife management to landscaping, home gardening, and large scale row cropping. As a University of Tennessee Extension Agriculture & Natural Resource (ANR) Agent, my job is to assess the needs of local agricultural clientele and address those needs with research and evidence-based solutions by planning, promoting, conducting, and evaluating educational trainings, demonstrations, and direct communications.
Providing practical evidence-based solutions to the needs of clientele on the topics of livestock, forages, and consumer/residential horticulture with an emphasis on hands-on teaching, demonstrations, and on-site visits.
