Overview

Dr. Rajeev V. Nair earned his BVSc & AH degree from India in 1986, a Master’s in Comparative Medicine from the University of Tennessee in 2001, and completed ECFVG certification in 2003 at Purdue University. After a successful career in general practice, Dr. Nair transitioned to veterinary education at Ross University in 2015, beginning a journey focused on clinical teaching, professionalism, compassionate care, and fostering lifelong learning in students. He joined UTCVM in 2020, where he oversees clinical rotations in small animal Community Practice and continuously improves his teaching through reflection, feedback, and professional development. Dr. Nair is passionate about access to care and spectrum of care initiatives and collaborates in outreach activities with local partners. He is also involved in Clinical education research and summer student research programs.
