Overview

Dr. John Toman has been with the University of Tennessee Extension for over 20 years where he currently serves as the Interim Director of Extension Human Resource, Evaluation and Staff Development. He has previously served as an Extension Specialist responsible for online learning and enterprise systems for planning, evaluation and reporting. During this time, he has implemented major information systems, taught numerous workshops to faculty, staff, and youth, introduced new technologies for learning and communication across the state of Tennessee, and developed and provided technical consultation for a variety of educational programs as well as developing and teaching a masters level technology course to educators using both asynchronous and synchronous delivery methods.
