Alaina Boyd
Specialization: Value-Added Agriculture, Dairy, Digital Marketing, E-Commerce, Supply Chain
Alaina Boyd has served as an Extension specialist in Value-Added Enterprise Management and Marketing with UT Extension's Center for Profitable Agriculture since July 2025. In her current role as Extension specialist, Boyd provides technical assistance and education in the areas of digital marketing, social media marketing, wholesale and retail marketing, e-commerce, supply chain management, and related topics. Her enterprise focuses include value-added dairy, lotions and cosmetics, alternative livestock or non-amenable species, and honey.
Boyd is a 2022 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Animal Science alongside minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Journalism. She is a 2023 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she earned a M.S. in Communication and Information with a concentration in Strategic & Digital Communication. Boyd is currently enrolled in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Prior to her current specialist role, Boyd served as Extension assistant focusing on value-added dairy and direct marketing with the Center.
Boyd is a lifelong native of Middle TN and grew up on her family’s diversified agricultural operation in western Lawrence County, TN. She has a background in agricultural communications along with professional interests in digital content creation, STEM education, and agricultural literacy.
Alaina is an Extension specialist focusing on value-added agriculture marketing, including topics such as digital and social media marketing, e-commerce, wholesale or retail marketing, supply chain management, and landowner education.
