I was born and raised in Carroll County outside of Huntingdon, TN in a small community called Rosser. Our farm included row crops, forages and livestock. Graduated Tennessee State University in 1990 with B.S. in Plant & Soil Sciences and hired by UT Extension on Jan. 1, 1991. My early career consisted of 4-H work, later moved over to split 4-H/Animal Science, then to Crop Production and currently as County Director with Crop Production being my main area of focus. However, my program areas also include Beef/Forages/Advanced Master Beef, Commercial Tomato Production, Pesticide Certification, Manager of Lauderdale County Cannery, Forestry, Wildlife and Administrative Duties as County Director.
- 1) Herbicide usage and control of pigweed. 2) Broom-sedge control in pastures.
