Rebekah Loui Searels
Specialization: Website, Social Media, Employer Relations, and Herbert Life LLC Coordinator.
Rebekah develops and maintains relations with key employers, including traveling to critical employers, inviting and hosting employers on campus, and facilitating guest lectures from industry personnel. She stays current with employment trends and needs, and relates these to students and faculty. Rebekah additionally connects and oversees college student employment and internships. She coordinates with UTIA Office of Advancement to establish and maintain connections with key alumni to facilitate alumni and student engagement. Rebekah also maintains and manages the college website, social media, e-newsletters, and other communication materials with input and assistance from other staff. Lastly, Rebekah assists with the coordination of College and UTIA-wide events as needed and serves as a liaison with other units on and off campus as needed, including committee service.
Rebekah is the instructor for the Herbert College of Agriculture Living and Learning Community course: AGNR 103. Through this course students engage inside and outside the classroom through different workshops, trips, and seminars.
Rebekah works with key communicators across all of the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture to develop and implement communication strategies. Rebekah serves on numerous communication focused committees to maintain our efforts.
