Rainey Oakey joined the Tree Improvement Program in the fall of 2023. She is a junior at the University of Tennessee Southern, majoring in wildlife biology. Rainey has worked for the Tree Improvement Program, surveying trees and managing a plot of red hickories in Pulaski, TN. After graduating, she aims to work outdoors, focusing on biodiversity and conducting wildlife research
