Specialization: 4-H Youth Development
I am passionate about creating meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that help youth build confidence, leadership skills, and lifelong connections to their communities. My professional interests center around youth development, experiential education, and expanding access to high-quality 4-H programming for all youth. I am especially interested in developing innovative educational programs that combine leadership, citizenship, STEM, agriculture, and family and consumer sciences in ways that are engaging and practical for today’s youth. I enjoy building partnerships with schools, community organizations, volunteers, and local businesses to strengthen Extension programming and increase opportunities for young people across the county. Another strong professional interest of mine is creating sustainable systems and programs that encourage long-term participation and measurable impact. I enjoy designing programs, recognition systems, and educational experiences that motivate youth to set goals, develop life skills, and become active leaders in their schools and communities. I also value professional growth through collaboration, training, and sharing ideas with other Extension professionals. I am committed to continually improving my communication, program development, and leadership skills in order to better serve youth, families, volunteers, and the community through Tennessee 4-H and UT Extension.
