Overview

Dr. Amy Brandon graduated from the University of Georgia with her DVM in 2018. She then completed a surgical internship at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute, an equine rotating internship at the University of Missouri, and a large animal clinical fellowship at Oregon State. In 2021, Dr. Brandon returned to UGA to pursue a residency in Large Animal Emergency and Critical Care, which she completed in 2024 with specialty certification being awarded in 2025. This training enables her to triage, stabilize, and treat a wide variety of critical, emergent medical and surgical cases. Dr. Brandon has brought this unique expertise and combination of skills and problem-solving abilities to the University of Tennessee, where she is currently a Clinical Instructor in the Emergency and Critical Care service. Her professional interests include equine gastrointestinal disease and surgery, critical neonate stabilization of all species, and small ruminant critical care medicine and surgery.
