Jackson Brady Neill

Overview

Jackson Neill joined the UT Tree Improvement Program in the spring of 2024 as a fourth-year student at the University of Tennessee. He is being trained to work in the greenhouses and on the farm. While working, he assists with up potting, maintenance, and grafting. 

Jackson graduated from Walters State Community College in 2022 with an associate degree in agriculture. He then transferred to The University of Tennessee to pursue a bachelor’s degree in forestry conservation with a minor in watershed and in wildlife and fisheries. Jackson has been at The University of Tennessee for two years now and will graduate in the spring of 2025. He wishes to pursue a master’s degree in environmental science. As well as working with the UT Tree Program, Jackson also works part time at TVA in the school to work program. From 2021 to 2022 Jackson worked on a farm where he grew many different species of crops and worked with cattle and chickens. Within this time, he has volunteered multiple times with the Cherokee Forest Department. In the upcoming summer of 2024, he is working an internship for the University of Tennessee in urban forestry. After Jackson graduates from his master’s program, he wishes to work in conservation and aid in creating healthy environments for humans and nature to meet.
