Bailey Chase Guinn

Overview

Bailey Guinn joined the UT Tree Improvement Program in fall of 2023 and is currently a student research assistant. In the UT-TIP, Bailey has assisted with acorn processing, grafting, and sample collection. Before attending the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Bailey received an Associates of Science degree in 2022. Bailey is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Forestry, enrolling in the Forest Restoration and Conservation Science concentration. During his junior year of college, Bailey worked as an undergraduate researcher in the UT Entomology and Plant Pathology Department studying the effects of parasitoid wasps on the emerald ash borer beetle population. Additionally, Bailey worked on the University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s arboricultural crew conducting urban tree management as well as invasive species removal. Bailey's plan after graduating is to work as a district silviculturist for the USDA Forest Service.
