Overview

My professional interests stem from small ruminant management and production systems. I am very interested in the reproductive physiology of small ruminants and how to manage sheep and goats for reproductive success. Other interests include the success and implementation of Youth Livestock Programs.

Preparing students for career opportunities in animal agriculture, including both industry and academic advancement. Topics will include resume preparation, interview skills, internship opportunities, and web-based employment search guides.

Registration Restriction(s): Minimum student level – sophomore.

Integration of principles of nutrition, breeding, physiology, and marketing into complete production and management programs. Structure of industry, enterprise establishment, systems of production, production practices, and improvement programs. Management evaluated in terms of production response and economic returns.

Contact Hour Distribution: 2 hours lecture and 1 lab.
