Overview

Ashley is a veterinary technician specialist in veterinary nutrition. She received her bachelor�s degree in agriculture from Murray State University, completed a specialty veterinary technician internship with the University of Tennessee�s Veterinary Nutrition Service in 2012 and was then hired full-time as the clinical veterinary nutrition technician at UTCVM. In 2018, Ashley passed the certifying exam to become a veterinary technician specialist in nutrition.
Ashley currently serves as the Secretary for the American Academy of Veterinary Nutrition (AAVN) and is pursuing a master�s degree in animal science, focusing on equine nutrition. Looking forward, she hopes to enhance nutrition education and research for veterinary technicians and veterinary students in both small and large animal nutrition, promote the appropriate use of veterinary technicians in nutrition, and educate the public about the roles of veterinary technicians in the medical care of their beloved pet.
