VMC 812 - Clinical Rotation in Shelter Medicine-Spay/Neuter
2 - 4 credit hours

Clinical experience in medical, behavioral and surgical problems in animals confined to animal shelters. Students gain extensive experience spaying and castrating animals. Students will identify methods of prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases of sheltered animals with emphasis on infectious and behavioral disorders.

Grading Restriction(s): Honors or Satisfactory/No Credit grading only.
Repeatability: May be repeated. Maximum 6 hours.
Registration Restriction(s): Veterinary Medicine Students only.

VMP 873 - Special Problems in Small Animal Clinical Sciences
1 - 8 credit hours

Extramural and specially designed study for students interested in select topics in medicine, surgery, anesthesiology, radiology and medical specialties of small (companion) animals.

Repeatability: May be repeated. Maximum 14 hours.
Registration Restriction(s): Veterinary Medicine Students only.
