Dr. Smith is a Southern California native who graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed a small animal rotating internship at BluePearl Tampa and a residency at The University of Tennessee and is now a Clinical Associate Professor of Anesthesia and Analgesia. Dr. Smith's professional interests include locoregional anesthesia, cardiorespiratory peri anesthetic monitoring and zoo and wildlife immobilization, but he enjoys all aspects of clinical anesthesiology and enjoys teaching students and training house officers.
Primary research interests include peri-anesthetic cardiorespiratory monitoring, locoregional anesthetic techniques, zoo and wildlife immobilization and transfusion medicine.
