Alaina Boyd has served as an Extension Assistant in Value-Added Agriculture Marketing within UT Extension's Center for Profitable Agriculture since January 2023. Her work in this role primarily focuses on value-added agricultural products and supporting the Southeastern Dairy Business Innovation Initiative.

Alaina is a 2022 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Animal Science alongside minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Journalism. She is a 2023 graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville where she earned a M.S. in Communication and Information with a concentration in Strategic & Digital Communication.

Alaina is a lifelong native of Middle TN and grew up on her family’s diversified agricultural operation in western Lawrence County, TN. She has a background in agricultural communications along with professional interests in digital content creation, STEM education, and agricultural literacy.
