Specialization: Family and Consumer Sciences and 4-H Youth Development
Jessica's role as a Family and Consumer Sciences agent requires her to have proficient knowledge in all areas of study in Family and Consumer Sciences. However, her confidence lies in the area of Nutrition and Food Safety. She enjoys helping Cocke County families reach their full potential by providing them nutrition education to reduce the risk of chronic diseases. Jessica enjoys serving on the Cocke County Health Council and Farm Bureau Women. These monthly meetings help connect us to the community and enable us to meet their needs by providing education. Jessica also assists with the 4-H youth development program in Cocke County. 4-H has a presence in all Cocke County either by after school programs or in-school class meetings.
Jessica strives to bring Family and Consumer Sciences education to families in Cocke County. Her focus areas include human development, environmental health and housing, community health, consumer economics, and nutrition and food safety.
