Timmy Carter
Timmy serves as the Coordinator of Undergraduate Recruitment for the Herbert College of Agriculture, bringing passion and energy to the College. He desires to see prospective Herbert students thrive and advocates on their behalf to become well rounded Herbert graduates. A native of Knoxville, TN, Timmy grew up just minutes away from campus. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Food Science from the University of Tennessee’s Herbert College of Agriculture.
He began his career in the poultry industry with JBS Foods serving as a Development Management Trainee before spending 3 years with Pilgrims in Chattanooga, TN focusing on leading and overseeing poultry live operations in TN, GA, and AL. Most recently, he worked with a local small business, Guidance Advisors, where he helped develop and create strategic business development plans to recruit members, focusing on first bridging the relational gap and then guiding them through the process of onboarding. Timmy is passionate about developing the next generation and desires for Herbert to feel like home for prospective, current, and past students.
Timmy now lives in Strawberry Plains, TN. In his spare time, you can find Timmy in the outdoors with his German Shorthaired Pointer pup, traveling to a new city or country, or in his garden. He is a die-hard Tennessee Volunteer and March Madness fan.
