Jonathan Abbott, DVM, DACVIM (Cardiology)

Overview

Dr. Jonathan Abbott received his DVM from the Ontario Veterinary College, University of Guelph and trained in veterinary cardiology at the University of Florida and at North Carolina State University. Dr. Abbott was board certified in the specialty of cardiology by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) in 1993. Prior to his appointment at the University of Tennessee, where he is currently Associate Professor of Veterinary Cardiology, Dr. Abbott held faculty positions at Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, Virginia Tech and the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. Dr. Abbott is a past president of the ACVIM Specialty of Cardiology and serves as member of the Journal of Cardiology Editorial Board. He has published in diverse subject areas within the topic of veterinary cardiology.
