Dr. Hiroyuki Mochizuki (Hiro) earned both his veterinary degree and PhD from the University of Tokyo in Japan. He completed postdoctoral research training and a clinical pathology residency at North Carolina State University, achieving board certification by the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (Clinical Pathology). Throughout his professional career, Dr. Mochizuki’s research has focused on the molecular basis of veterinary diseases, particularly canine and feline cancers, and the development of innovative molecular diagnostic methods to enhance veterinary patient care.

Dr. Mochizuki’s research advances the field of veterinary molecular pathology and diagnostics, with a special emphasis on cancer molecular biology.
