Kyra Barrier is the Study Abroad Coordinator for Herbert. Kyra is excited to connect students to educational abroad experiences and help Herbert reach their goal of having fifty percent of its students graduate with an international experience. In her role, Kyra also administers and awards the Herbert College of Agriculture Study Abroad Scholarship, helping ensure students have access to the financial support they need to go abroad.

She earned her master’s degree at Texas A&M University and her bachelor's from North Carolina State University. During both educational experiences, Kyra studied abroad. While abroad, Kyra developed a love of learning abroad and cross-cultural interactions. She believes that every student and person should have a global experience, and financial constraints should not deter a person from going abroad. Helping students apply to fund their experience abroad and select programs to participate in are Kyra’s passion areas. Kyra is excited to help Herbert students go abroad!
