Overview

As a 4-H Youth Development Agent in Smith County, Rachel strives to help local young people in grades 4th-12th develop life skills that will equip them for their future success. By participating in clubs, classroom contests, afterschool judging teams, project groups, camps, and more, 4-H’ers foster communication skills, leadership, citizenship, teamwork, responsibility, and creativity. Rachel is particularly passionate about teaching students about public speaking and communication, providing service-learning opportunities, and watching youth gain a greater knowledge and appreciation of the world around them through 4-H opportunities like Forestry Judging. She also enjoys incorporating topics like healthy living and mindfulness into 4-H lessons and sharing her love of sewing and crafting with youth.
