Specialization: Precision Beef Systems & Sustainability
My research focuses on precision beef systems and the development of sustainable, data-driven technologies for animal agriculture. I integrate artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision, robotics, and hyperspectral imaging to improve animal health monitoring, automate labor-intensive tasks, and support decision-making. I am particularly interested in advancing tools that enhance the welfare, productivity, and sustainability of beef cattle operations.
AI & Robotics, Precision Livestock Decision Support, Computer Vision in Livestock
Precision Livestock Farming (PLF); currently developing a minor program in PLF to equip students with skills in data-driven animal agriculture and emerging technologies.
