Aimee Alberd holds a BA from Lipscomb University and has dedicated over 20 years to supporting children and families. At Centerstone, she worked with children of all ages, addressing preschool behavior issues, teen pregnancy, crisis intervention and more, while implementing grant programs in rural areas. Endorsed as an Infant Family Associate through the Association of Infant Mental Health in Tennessee, she later served as a forensic interviewer at Davis House Child Advocacy Center conducting over 1200 interviews and collaborating with local and federal agencies to improve child abuse investigations. She chaired the Tennessee Chapter of Forensic Interviewers and advanced technology to streamline investigations. Most recently, she worked at Lipscomb University, raising awareness on Title IX issues. She is excited to be working in Giles county and to be part of the human development team in Family and Consumer Sciences. She currently is focusing on learning those programs that were well received by older adults in Giles county, but also creating new partnerships with UT Southern, faith based communities and other local businesses. Her goal is to develop relationships and programming that positively impact the lives of Giles county families.
