Alexis Boone, DVM
Dr. Alexis Boone was born and raised in California's Central Valley and later attended Scripps College for her undergraduate studies. She spent four years learning how to brave the cold of Massachusetts to attend Tufts University for veterinary school before moving back to Southern California for her rotating internship. It was during this time that she realized her passion for surgery was more than just a casual interest. After attending a surgical internship in Florida, she moved to Knoxville to begin her residency in small animal surgery with the University of Tennessee. Dr. Boone has deeply enjoyed experiencing new areas and cultures during her moves around the country, but is happy to be staying in Knoxville to join the surgery faculty.
