Overview

Sydney Clendening joined UTIA’s Marketing and Communications team as a Digital Content Coordinator and Graphic Designer in 2025. With a strong background in advertising and editorial design, she specializes in creating engaging visual content that enhances UTIA’s storytelling efforts. Clendening is passionate about developing designs that effectively communicate the Institute’s mission while ensuring consistency across various platforms.


Before joining UTIA, Clendening served as a Graphic Designer at Tusculum University, where she played a key role in branding, social media, and promotional materials. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Middle Tennessee State University, graduating summa cum laude in 2020. Her expertise extends to photography and illustration, skills that complement her design work and contribute to a dynamic creative approach.


Outside the office, Clendening enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons, illustrating, and her deep love for music, particularly her favorite band, Twenty One Pilots. She often draws inspiration from their work, channeling it into her art.
