Nicholas Hayes, DVM

Overview

Dr. Hayes is a 2019 graduate of the Kansas State University college of veterinary medicine.

Upon graduation, he completed a small animal rotating internship at the Veterinary Emergency

and Referral Group in Brooklyn, New York. He then completed a cardiology specialty

internship at the Veterinary Cardiopulmonary Care Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. Since

then, he has worked in the veterinary emergency field in Philadelphia and New Jersey. He

joined the UT Emergency team in July 2022 as a staff ER doctor. In his spare time, Dr.

Hayes enjoys spending time with his two dogs Mackling and Gaia, playing tennis, and sailing.

Clinical Focus

Dr. Hayes’ professional interests include echocardiography, arrhythmias, and cardiac disease.
