Specialization: Family and Consumer Sciences: TNCEP (SNAP-Ed) Nutrition Education Programs
As a Family and Consumer Sciences *TNCEP Agent, my role includes providing nutrition education programs that are compliant with federal and state grant guidance. I also have the pleasure of developing and maintaining community partnerships where we collaborate on obesity prevention efforts at the environmental, systems, and policy levels. I enjoy promoting and providing TNCEP nutrition programs in Sumner County, and I enjoy working with our partners and participants as we work together on improving the quality of life of Sumner County residents through our healthy living programs. *TNCEP: Tennessee Nutrition and Consumer Education Program
I teach grant-funded nutrition education programs via TNCEP (Tennessee Nutrition and Consumer Education Program). TNCEP provides information about stretching food dollars, how to shop for and cook healthy meals, and how to stay physically active.
