Adam Hopkins
Adam began working with UT Extension in 2008 and has held positions focusing on both youth development (4-H) and Adult Agriculture in Jefferson County, TN, Farm Management Area Specialist for Northeast Tennessee, and currently the County Director and Agriculture Agent in Sevier County. Adam holds a B.S. in Animal Science, a Master’s of Business Administration, and a M.S. in Agriculture focusing on Agribusiness and Risk Management. He grew up an active member of the Sevier County 4-H and Seymour FFA programs participating in a wide array of projects, but focusing mainly on the livestock projects. While raising livestock has always been his first love, in recent years he has worked with and became greatly interested in other ventures including: beekeeping, direct marketing, small and beginning farmers, farmer’s markets, and vegetable production.
