Overview

Karen Armsey has been a HABIT volunteer since 2003. During her time as a volunteer she has had 7 different HABIT dogs, and they have worked in several types of facilities: elementary and middle schools, CASA court dogs, hospice, cancer centers, hospitals, the Knox County 911 call center, 1st responders, Red Cross Shelters, and Remote Area Medical Clinics. Karen became the HABIT Program Administrator in 2005. Before she started working at UT she worked 16 year in human medicine. Under her guidance, the number of volunteers in the HABIT program has more then doubled. Karen loves working at the veterinary college and with the HABIT volunteers. Awards: 2017 Alumni Public Service Award 2020 UT President�s �Connect� Award
