Extension Specialist III | 4-H Youth Development

Specialization: Professional Development, Awards/Recognition, Judging Teams, Academic Conference

Overview

In 1980, I won the state Dairy Foods poster contest as a 4th grader in Henry County. And that's all it took! I was hooked! My 4-H career grew from there. I was a State 4-H Council member, a state winner in the 4-H Home Environment and 4-H Citizenship projects and a national runner-up in the 4-H Citizenship project. In 2006, I joined the 4-H Youth Development Department. The best part of my job is getting to work with both 4-H'ers and 4-H agents -- the best of both worlds! As a life-long learner, I love working with 4-H agents and their professional development endeavors -- my passion project! My professional development work also includes B.E.S.T. -- Building Exceptionally Skilled Teachers. I also enjoy working with our Tennessee 4-H members in the areas of awards and recognition (including scholarships and 4-H project e-portfolios), judging teams and Tennessee 4-H Junior High Academic Conference!
