Sarah's professional interest include beef cattle production, focusing specifically on reproductive technologies. However, in her current role as ANR agent in Cocke County, she assists producers and homeowners with a variety of topics relating to livestock and forage systems as well as residential home horticulture. Common questions and topics she assists with include: beef cattle, small ruminants, poultry, and swine production, forage and pastures for livestock, forage testing, plant and insect identification, plant disease diagnosis, soil fertility, home gardening, insect control in structures, private applicator pesticide certification, forestry, pond health, farm planning, record keeping, ag tax exemption, TN Agriculture Enhancement and other grants as well as many more! Aside from answering specific questions and working with individuals one-on-one to solve problems, Sarah also conducts a variety of workshops and classes that address many questions that citizens in the community have every year for low cost or even free! Sarah also works with 4-H Youth Development by conducting in-school and after school programming to youth in grades 4th- 12th. The highlight of her 4-H work is the Cocke County 4-H Livestock Judging Team.
