Dr. Lauren Guarneri obtained a BA in history from Cornell University in 2006, a degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland in 2010, and in 2023, completed a residency in veterinary anatomic pathology at Louisiana State University, and obtained board certification from the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (Anatomic). Post veterinary school, and prior to becoming an anatomic pathologist, she worked in small animal/exotic private practice as well as a public health veterinarian for the State of Wisconsin and the USDA in FSIS (Food Safety and Inspection Service).
As a veterinary anatomic pathologist, Dr.Guarneri's clinical focus encompasses necropsy service, biopsy service, and training of veterinary students and residents.
Dr. Guarneri teaches at various levels of the CVM curriculum, including pre-clinical coursework in general pathology and the anatomic pathology clinical rotation to fourth-year DVM students.
