Virginia is certified in Canine Rehabilitation, Animal Hospice and Palliative Care, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (Canine/Feline). Dr. Corrigan is passionate about the field of veterinary medicine and considers herself fortunate to be in a profession amongst the most caring and compassionate people on earth. She is currently enrolled in the University of Pennsylvania Master of Applied Positive Psychology program (MAPP), and is grateful to be learning how to apply the science of wellbeing and positive leadership to the veterinary profession. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and going on long walks and hikes in the mountains with her 8-year old Golden Retriever, Tucker.

Integration and application of theoretical material using case- or problem-based approaches toward creating knowledge frameworks for patient care, including the human-animal bond. Emphasis on conflict management, maintaining medical records, student-centered learning, and self-discovery of new information. Includes simulated clinical skills and a clinical experience component.
