Overview

Dr. Liza Koster graduated from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in 1999 and later completed both a Honours and Masters degrees in Small Animal Internal Medicine. She completed her residencies in Small Animal Internal Medicine (University of Pretoria, 2009) and later Cardiology (University of Glasgow, 2017). Dr. Koster is a registered European Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine (2011) and Cardiology (2019). Her academic career has included clinical teaching positions at the Veterinary Teaching Hospitals of the University of Sydney, Pretoria, and Glasgow and a teaching position at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her special interests include biomarkers in critical illness and cardiomyopathies and pulmonary hypertension.
