Overview

Tulio Prado, DVM, MS, Diplomate American College of Theriogenologists. Dr. Prado holds a DVM (University of Zulia, Maracaibo, Zulia State, Venezuela), a MS in reproductive physiology (Oklahoma State University), and is Board Certifi3ed by the American College of Theriogenology. Dr. Prado thoroughly enjoys teaching reproduction to veterinary students in the different levels of their carrier not only in the classroom but also in laboratories, clinical settings, and in the field. He provides CE seminars internationally on reproduction of horses, cattle, and small ruminants.

Elective is a series of lectures highlighting important information for the future large animal practitioner. Material presented will consist of information that is not otherwise covered in the curriculum or will cover topics in greater depth than in other areas of the curriculum. Topics may include production medicine, mastitis, internal/external parasite control, toxicology, castration, implants, management of beef cattle and swine, anesthetic protocols for field surgeries in cattle, BVD, food animal pharmacology, foot care, cattle breeding management, bioterrorism/agro terrorism, nutrition in beef cattle, economics, and herd health.
