Overview

Pierre-Yves Mulon, DVM, DES, Diplomate American College of Veterinary Surgeons � Large Animal. Dr. Mulon holds a DVM from the National Veterinary School of Alfort (France), he completed a 3 years program on specialized studies (DES) concomitant with his residency program at the college of veterinary medicine from the University of Montreal (Canada). Dr. Mulon is Board Certified as a specialist in Large Animal surgery by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. His interests are the farm animal surgeries with a special attention to orthopedic surgery, locomotor diseases as well as the minimally invasive surgeries (laparoscopy and theloscopy). Dr. Mulon�s teaching interest include bovine musculoskeletal diseases, GI related surgical treatment, and general principles of surgery. Dr. Mulon had provided CE seminars locally, nationally and internationally on farm animal surgery.

Clinical training in farm animal medicine and surgery. Direct responsibility for diagnosis, care, and treatment of clinical patients.

VMP 887 - Large Animal Surgery

Elective provides practical, hands-on experience with elective and emergency surgical procedures common to private large animal veterinary practice. Covered are numerous surgical procedures of the head and distal limbs, and bovine teat surgery. Other topics may include bovine right paralumbar exploratory laparotomy and equine castration.
