Dr. Sheldon is a zoo and wildlife veterinarian dedicated to teaching, wildlife conservation research, and clinical medicine in a variety of non-domestic species. She earned her bachelor�s degree from the University of Florida, DVM from the University of California Davis, and master�s degree from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. Dr. Sheldon completed the Zoo and Small Animal Rotating Internship at the University of Tennessee followed by the Illinois and Zoological and Aquatic Animal Residency. In addition to practicing at local zoos and sanctuaries, Dr. Sheldon contributes to assessments of remote wildlife populations including Bolivian river dolphins, Peruvian fur seals, and Galapagos tortoises, and currently studies health of black bears in Tennessee.
